About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain separate security evidence mapping for Infrastructure and Application pipelines
  • Ensure artifacts satisfy required controls at each stage of the CI/CD process
  • Enforce pipeline gating criteria so deployments cannot proceed to production without required security evidence and approvals
  • Perform, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software Information Assurance problems across computing, network, data platform, and enclave environments
  • Collect and analyze data and events from Computer Network Defense tools, including system alerts, firewall and network traffic logs, and host system logs
  • Assess and identify systems and networks within acceptable configurations and policies
  • Develop and manage security across multiple IT functional areas, including data, systems, network, and web
  • Lead development and implementation of security policies and procedures
  • Brief and present security status reports
  • Develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures
  • Track and monitor software viruses and other malicious code
  • Lead evaluation of products and procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness
  • Provide direct security-related support to business and IT staff
  • Partner with DevSecOps, engineering, and governance teams to integrate security and compliance requirements into release and deployment processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • BS/BA degree, with experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience providing project leadership, monitoring computer networks and security issues, and investigating and resolving security and cybersecurity incidents
  • Experience documenting security incidents and performing security vulnerability assessments
  • Experience working with Agile teams and SAFe to perform testing and uncover system and network vulnerabilities
  • 3+ years of AWS Cloud Security experience; certification preferred
  • 4+ years of prior ATO experience in an AWS environment for a large agency
  • Solid understanding of NIST Standards
  • 4+ years of experience with ATO process, FedRAMP, CIS, and ISO 27001
  • Solid understanding of ICAM, SIEM, and vulnerability management tools
  • Experience with CSAM or similar tools
  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality practices
  • Experience with SQL for data querying and validation
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools/techniques such as Excel, R, or Python preferred
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS preferred
  • Understanding of data architecture concepts including data lake, lakehouse, and warehouse
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills
  • CISSP preferred
  • Excellent oral and written presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work with high-level customer stakeholders and build customer relationships
  • Experience identifying and applying industry tools, solutions, methods, best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to translate technical security findings into risk-based guidance
  • US citizenship is not required
  • No security clearance is required
