About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage configuration on multiple physical and virtual F5 systems across multiple data centers
- Participate in development and support of customer technical requirements
- Plan, design, develop, implement, and operate F5 products including LTM, ASM, BIG-IQ, and APM
- Provide technical documentation and written procedures
- Propose and implement system enhancements to improve network security infrastructure performance and reliability
- Monitor and troubleshoot platform, operating system, network security infrastructure, and connectivity issues
- Perform launch testing for software releases and new features
- Collaborate with different technology towers
- Apply capacity-planning configuration changes
- Address performance, scalability, and service architecture administration issues
- Coordinate equipment orders and upgrade, monitor, test, and service systems
- Support Government activities in Sterling, Virginia or Annapolis Junction, Maryland
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science Degree, related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of 10+ years of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- 7+ years of relevant F5 experience with F5 LTM, ASM, BIG-IQ, and/or APM administration and lifecycle management
- Experience with advanced iRule creation and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Storage, Virtualization, Intel, Networking, Data Center Migration and Disaster Recovery
- Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network systems, switching, and routing protocols including TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, SDN, and 802.1x
- Experience managing and troubleshooting DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and NTP in a large multi-site environment
- Knowledge of risk and controls landscape
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements, including Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security
- Must have F5 Certified Administrator certification or obtain it within 3 months of hire
- Obtain one targeted F5 module certification (LTM, DNS, ASM, or APM) within an additional 90 days
- US Citizenship required
