About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on a development team using Agile Scrum methodology
- Develop and maintain agency-wide Platform as a Service capability across multiple security domains
- Perform operations and maintenance of existing Red Hat OpenShift environments across cloud and vSphere datacenter environments
- Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, and Red Hat GitOps
- Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
- Understand integration requirements with internal and external teams and scale platforms accordingly
- Work with Security to maintain compliance and develop secure solutions
- Support RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Stack data services
- Compile detailed documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Top Secret/SCI clearance currently required
- Ability to obtain Top Secret SCI + Polygraph clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of related experience
- 5–8 years of developer experience
- Meet DoW 8570 IAT Level II requirements, including one of: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
- Experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS)
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift
- Experience with Scrum/Agile methodology
- Experience deploying and managing Red Hat OpenShift in cloud and/or vSphere environments
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- Python, Shell scripting, and Git
- Linux distributions including RHEL/RHCOS and CentOS
- CI/CD orchestration tools including GitLab CI and Jenkins
- Container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem
