About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform installation and deployment of 5G network equipment including core servers, CU/DU hardware, network switches, routers, firewalls, synchronization equipment, GNSS GPS antennas, structured cabling, and associated interconnections
  • Capture required system integration details, network interfaces, and existing architecture, focusing on the Private 5G core and its integration within the broader environment
  • Securely and seamlessly integrate wireless, fiber, and supporting network components into the existing Army network
  • Support planning, architecture development, installation, configuration, operations and maintenance, documentation, and engineering activities related to network services
  • Collaborate with Design, Implementation, and Cybersecurity teams on secure, aligned integration
  • Support equipment staging, rack and stack, power verification, cable management, hardware replacement, software loading, and field troubleshooting
  • Assist with test procedures and system validation activities under direction of engineering staff
  • Support the Army TEN-M program as part of General Dynamics IT

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA Degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 15+ years of network engineering experience with emphasis on 5G CORE technologies and understanding of the duties as described above
  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience
  • Secret Clearance
  • Must currently possess Secret clearance
  • Must be able to obtain Secret clearance
  • US Citizenship Required: Yes
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of a major airport
  • 25% to 50% travel required
  • Skills in 5G Core Network Architecture, 5G Wireless Networks, Network Development, and Network Management
