About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical guidance, oversight, and quality assurance to monitoring and compliance experts
- Directly supervise staff and coordinate pre- and post-monitoring activities and deployments
- Lead site assessment activities and on-site and remote monitoring reviews
- Guide analysis and evaluation of processes, requirements, performance measures, and monitoring data
- Develop program logic and provide insight into performance-measure toolkits
- Develop and update program monitoring schedules
- Report monitoring activity status and recommend solutions for resource gaps to federal staff
- Train and mentor new staff and provide monitoring and evaluation guidance
- Review monitoring reports, corrective actions, and deliverables before submission
- Analyze monitoring outputs to identify trends, compliance issues, and operational risks
- Support professional development, performance management, onboarding, PIPs, and annual evaluations
- Review monthly reports and approve consolidated reports, timecards, leave requests, travel, and expense reports
- Conduct interviews with recipient staff, program participants, and external stakeholders
- Review program documentation, questionnaires, and case files for grant and policy compliance
- Identify promising practices and technical assistance needs
- Advise recipient and client staff of preliminary findings
- Author monitoring reports with detailed analyses and assessments
- Update monitoring tools and serve as liaison to program staff
- Participate in meetings and additional projects as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BA degree
- At least 7 years of monitoring and evaluation experience
- 2 or more years of supervisory experience
- Existing MBI T2 Public Trust or ability to obtain one
- Proven experience monitoring grantees that provide services to underserved populations
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office
- Experience working with immigrants, refugees, and underserved populations preferred
- Prior state or local refugee program experience preferred
- Advanced degree preferred
- No US citizenship required
