About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Organize, install, and support government computer systems, LANs, WANs, network segments, intranets, and data communication systems
- Help architect, design, and analyze network models
- Participate in hardware and software infrastructure upgrade decisions
- Provide technical support to computer users and resolve problems
- Provide day-to-day support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities
- Lead the IT operations team in daily network management and operations
- Implement capabilities vetted through Cybersecurity, ISSE, and higher headquarters to maintain JSIG/RMF Authority to Operate and continuous monitoring
- Manage COTS and GOTS products for automated system security and operations/performance metrics
- Assist with server, network device, and security appliance assessments
- Create O&M checklists, TTPs, and SOPs
- Manage SIEM monitoring tools and create or tailor complex event alarms, rules, and reports
- Execute cybersecurity procedures for network management, operations, and maintenance
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity tool output for reportable incidents and residual risk
- Analyze technical risk of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes
- Support security incident response activities
- Assist ISSM, ISSO, and ISSE with integrating and developing techniques to improve network/system confidentiality, integrity, and availability
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of related experience
- 2+ years of SAP experience required
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree in a related area plus 2 years’ experience OR equivalent experience (4 years)
- IAT Level III certification, such as CISSP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, or CISA
- Top Secret/SCI clearance required to start
- Must be able to attain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
- Advanced technical competency in one or more supported infrastructure, operating system, virtualization, networking, security, database, web server, monitoring, or scripting platforms
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems and Microsoft Exchange Server
- RHEL operating systems administration and associated hardware knowledge as needed
- Group Policy design and configuration
- Working knowledge of Cisco networking, switching, and virtualization technologies
- Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, data backup, COMSEC, RMF, Common Criteria, System Security Policy, PL2/PL3/PL4 environments, WSUS and/or YUM
- Familiarity with DoD policy for system and network administration
- Effective communication and collaboration in a high-performance team environment
- Ability to work self-sufficiently with little to no oversight
