About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, and customize ServiceNow applications and ITSM modules, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Create custom scripts, including Business Rules and Script Includes, to automate processes and meet business requirements
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems using REST/SOAP and related technologies
  • Perform administration including user and role management, system maintenance, and health checks
  • Customize user interfaces, forms, and workflows
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshoot integrated processes and platform functionality
  • Define and create reports, dashboards, and data analysis products with end users, stakeholders, and management
  • Participate in IT technical process reviews, postmortems, and continual process improvement
  • Maintain current ServiceNow and industry certifications and obtain additional certifications
  • Communicate technical authority, contribute to whitepapers, BOEs, and design documents, and lead customer demos
  • Drive methodology changes, manage customer deliverables, resolve process issues, and shape standards
  • Mentor junior team members, support staff development, lead knowledge shares, and lead innovation projects and technology pilots

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Expertise developing and customizing ServiceNow applications and ITSM modules
  • Proficiency with SOAP, REST, and web services, including creating and consuming them
  • Strong scripting skills in at least one language, preferably JavaScript
  • Understanding of Import Sets, Transform Maps, and the CMDB
  • Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop technical solutions
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Understanding of the Agile software testing process and lifecycle
  • Ability to identify, understand, document, and create functionality aligned with customer value streams
  • Ability to communicate as a high-level technical authority and contribute to whitepapers, BOEs, and design documents
  • Ability to lead high-stakes customer demos
  • Organizational and time-management skills in a rapid software development environment
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to drive methodology changes, manage customer deliverables, resolve process issues, and shape standards
  • Good communication skills for managing customer interactions and negotiating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders, mentor junior team members, support staff development, lead knowledge shares, and lead innovation projects and technology pilots
  • ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator certification
  • US citizenship is not required
  • Must currently possess no clearance; no clearance or public trust required
