About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and assess grantee programs and financial management data against program objectives and federal requirements
- Assist the Regional Representative with consultation and community engagement in the assigned geographical region
- Support site visits with states, NGOs, mutual assistance associations and other entities
- Obtain Regional Representative clearance for site reports before release
- Analyze state plans, grantee performance, financial reports and data, and summarize observations
- Provide technical assistance to grantees following monitoring reports
- Review independent auditor reports and recommend follow-up reviews
- Develop work plans for monitoring assignments and support grants management and state program review teams
- Schedule and conduct selected on-site monitoring visits
- Identify program gaps, model programs and programs requiring corrective action
- Prepare written reports covering strengths, best practices, weaknesses and recommendations
- Assist with regional initiatives involving cross-cutting issues and integrated collaborative efforts
- Collaborate with regional government offices and federal agency branches to enhance services
- Support federal decision-making through analytical tasks
- Analyze user needs and perform research and functional analysis on projects
- Assist with modifying monitoring protocols
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires a BA/BS Degree in a related discipline
- At least 5-8 years of related experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working with federal grants preferred
- Experience working with immigrant or refugee communities preferred
- Existing Public Trust or ability to obtain one
- No clearance currently possessed required
- MBI (T2) public trust/other requirement
- 10% domestic travel to grantee sites required
- Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement and report to a government office on a regular basis may be required
