About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure and enterprise platforms powering data ingestion, analytics, and partner-facing applications
  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Amazon WorkSpaces, and secure file transfer services
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Security, and Web Development teams and external healthcare partners
  • Provide infrastructure solutions and secure data exchange
  • Remediate vulnerabilities and keep platforms current
  • Automate recurring operational work using AI, serverless, infrastructure as code, and other technologies
  • Administer and automate resilient, high-performing systems
  • Support the mission of the Healthcare Fraud Prevention Partnership Trusted Third Party in fighting fraud, waste, and abuse

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of related experience focused on cloud engineering
  • Hands-on experience administering and supporting core AWS services in production, including EC2, ECS, S3, Route 53, VPC, IAM, Elastic Load Balancing, RDS, and CloudWatch
  • Foundational networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, SSH/SFTP, and firewall concepts
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or similar automation frameworks
  • Experience administering or supporting Linux and Windows operating systems in enterprise or production environments
  • Proficiency with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or other applicable languages
  • Experience administering enterprise applications hosted on cloud infrastructure, including upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and availability management
  • Experience administering or supporting Active Directory, including user and group management, group policy, and integration with applications and multi-factor authentication services
  • Experience with vulnerability and patch management
  • Experience in a 24/7 production environment, including ticket-based operational support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and change management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate), or comparable cloud certifications
  • Experience administering commercial off-the-shelf software
  • Experience administering Amazon WorkSpaces and endpoint protection tools
  • Experience with multi-account AWS environments, AWS Organizations, service control policies, and centralized governance models
  • Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks, including NIST, CIS benchmarks, FedRAMP, or FISMA
  • Experience maintaining STIG-hardened machine images and automated image build pipelines
  • Familiarity with AWS Systems Manager, PDQ Deploy, or comparable platforms
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code or Amazon Q Developer
  • US citizenship is not required
