About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, optimize, and maintain core backend systems and data workflows supporting Third Party Administrator services
Ensure accurate eligibility processing, timely claims adjudication, effective provider management, and reliable member service operations
Lead SQL development, database design, and integration work across core TPA systems
Ensure solutions are stable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business and technical requirements
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA testers, operational SMEs, data engineers, and system vendors
Resolve complex data and system challenges
Optimize database performance
Support modernization initiatives
Contribute to cross-system interoperability during Transition In and steady state
Utilize SQL development, stored procedures, ETL/ELT tools, APIs, EDI frameworks, cloud data technologies, and DevSecOps practices
Implement secure and compliant solutions for federal healthcare operations
Support the World Trade Center Health Program and its core TPA services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Technical training, certification(s), or degree
3+ years of related SQL/database development, backend software development, or system integration experience
Strong proficiency with SQL, relational database design, stored procedures, performance tuning, ETL processes, and modern integration patterns
Experience with APIs, EDI transactions, cloud data environments, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring platforms
Security clearance level: MB(T2)
Ability to work across technical and operational teams
Familiarity with HIPAA, secure handling of PHI/PII, and federal security/compliance requirements
Experience supporting complex system integrations
Up to 10% travel, as needed
US citizenship is not required
Public Trust/Other Required: MBI (T2)
