About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions, including data modeling, data governance, and system integration
Collaborate with Product Owners, Temporary Duty Assignees, and business analysts to analyze structured and unstructured data sets
Conduct advanced research into technologies and determine how IT can support business needs through software solutions
Implement solutions supporting physical data models for business intelligence reporting initiatives
Conduct analysis to create innovative solutions
Apply standards and best practices for performance, security, scalability, and maintainability
Lead data engineers, data analysts, and reporting analysts in implementing enterprise content and data management solutions
Lead data migration efforts from on-premises databases into Azure cloud
Architect solutions to ingest APIs and big data sources into data lakes and create cloud data warehouses
Present key findings and actionable insights to leadership through reports and visualizations
Develop and oversee data mappings to modern systems and data platforms
Architect, design, and develop cloud-based data lake architectures, master data solutions, and data warehouses supporting analytics and BI dashboards
Host and conduct peer reviews of other developers' code
Mentor and train team members to promote cross-training
Optimize and enhance data pipelines for quality, performance, and scalability
Develop CI/CD solutions using Bamboo, Azure DevOps, and Bitbucket for on-premises and cloud-based solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least seven (7+) years in developing IT and cloud infrastructures
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or a relevant computer-based major
Expertise in relational and NoSQL database technologies
Proficiency in data modeling tools, data warehousing, and data lake concepts
Knowledge of open-source programming for ETL and analytical/statistical techniques such as Python
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to formulate and communicate recommendations
Experience with process design and documentation methodologies
Experience designing and producing quality deliverables
Experience with process and use case modeling and business case development
Experience understanding business requirements and mapping them into technical requirements
Ability to work effectively and independently and as part of a team
Outstanding communication, organization, stakeholder management, time management, and interpersonal skills
Good written and verbal communication skills and strong listening skills
U.S. citizenship is not required
Prior PowerBI experience preferred
Prior cloud data warehouse technology experience, such as Snowflake, preferred
BusinessObjects administration experience in a Windows environment preferred
Experience with Office 365 Online, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, MS SQL Server, MS SQL Server Integration Services, and MS SQL Server Analysis Services preferred
Knowledge of court operations and law enforcement business data preferred
