About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Configure CI/CD for multiple web applications
Build applications by managing source code and dependencies
Perform automated testing and security scans
Deploy applications to development, staging, and operations environments
Manage Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
Author Helm charts to deploy resources to OpenShift
Manage and document system security, including software updates responding to scan findings
Document systems and architectures to demonstrate security compliance
Research, design, develop, and modify enterprise-wide cloud solutions and application software
Design, develop, code, test, and debug complex software products and enhancements
Apply advanced methods and research techniques to solve complex software problems
Resolve complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design issues
Conduct complex investigations and tests
Incorporate emerging technologies and product supportability into designs and implementations
Contribute to technical documentation, user manuals, system documentation, and training materials
Advise hardware engineers on machine characteristics affecting software systems
Prepare reports on analyses, findings, and project progress
Present results to management and customer personnel
Support an intelligence customer in Springfield, Virginia or St. Louis, Missouri

Requirements

What you’ll need

Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph; polygraph sponsorship available
U.S. citizenship required
Minimum 6+ years of directly related experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering, or related field/major, or 2 additional years of information technology experience
One or more technical certifications, such as Network+, Security+, or CISSP
Proficiency with Linux operating systems
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as GitLab, Jenkins, or CircleCI
Knowledge of OIDC/OAuth/Auth2 or similar zero-trust identity implementations
Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps operations management
Experience with web server management, including DNS and certificate management
Knowledge of HTTP API design standards and best practices
Ability to manage networking for web applications, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing
Familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, OpenShift Containerized Platform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, networking, and security for containers
Experience deploying and managing databases and interacting with databases via SQL and ORMs
Ability to write Python and Bash for systems tooling
Ability to contribute code updates to existing repositories
Experience with software system design and application architecture diagrams
Experience integrating security components with applications and databases
Familiarity with Configuration Management and Request for Change processes
Experience with zero-downtime re-indexing and complex Elasticsearch data models
Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Thanos, Alloy, Loki, Mimir, Tempo, or Grafana
Understanding of reverse proxies such as Nginx, Traefik, Apache HTTP Server, HAProxy, or Envoy
Experience delivering integrated solutions using Agile software delivery techniques
Experience in systems engineering and project/program management
Knowledge or experience with customer enterprise products (CORE)
