About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, maintain, and support PACER account registration, authentication, billing, and Case Locator products
- Develop and support internal PACER account, help desk, and court access reporting systems
- Monitor compliance with PCI and other security standards through secure development practices
- Perform requirements gathering, design, analysis, development, testing, deployment, support, and maintenance across the software development lifecycle
- Develop and maintain enterprise software using C, Java, JSF, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, and/or Linux shell
- Develop secure web services using SOAP, REST, WSDL, XSD, XML, and/or JSON
- Design and create efficient, scalable, and resilient software solutions
- Create and document use cases, test cases, and system validation results
- Participate in Agile planning, retrospectives, demos, and stand-ups
- Review and validate requirements, system descriptions, and design artifacts
- Prepare documentation packages and analyze project documentation and modification requests
- Define, document, and maintain system and software architectures
- Implement secure engineering, vulnerability remediation, ATO, PCI, and FISMA compliance activities
- Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and system tuning
- Design and test continuity of operations and disaster recovery capabilities
- Manage software configurations, version control, and source code repositories
- Participate in change control processes
- Provide knowledge transfer, training, and documentation for Technical Points of Contact
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve efficiency and reduce technical debt
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in IT system engineering, systems development, systems coding, and programming
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of security compliance and security controls
- Proficiency in C, Java, JSF, Tomcat, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, and/or Linux shell
- Strong experience implementing and supporting end-to-end automated DevSecOps pipelines and processes
- Strong experience with RedHat Linux
- Strong experience with Cloud APIs and Cloud technologies, with some programming experience
- Strong experience providing engineering support for software applications across the full DevOps pipeline
- Ability to adapt to different enterprise security requirements
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bash, Subversion, and JetBrains Tool Suite
- Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for a wide variety of applications
- Experience implementing DevSecOps using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools
- Experience developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications
- Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools and methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of software build processes
- Strong security-first mindset
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work with high-level customer stakeholders and build customer relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
