About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical guidance, oversight, and quality assurance to Facilities Program Specialists
- Serve as alternate task manager and oversee daily team operations
- Directly supervise staff and lead site assessment activities
- Coordinate pre- and post-monitoring activities and deployments
- Prepare and update program monitoring schedules
- Report monitoring status and recommend solutions for resource gaps to federal staff
- Train and mentor new staff
- Review monitoring reports, corrective actions, and deliverables before submission
- Support professional development, process improvement, and quality assurance
- Monitor staff performance and provide training and feedback
- Complete performance improvement plans and annual performance evaluations
- Review monthly reports and approve consolidated reports
- Approve timecards, leave requests, proposed travel, and expense reports
- Develop program logic and evaluate facility inspection and assessment performance measures
- Coordinate, schedule, and document facility monitoring reviews
- Maintain organized inspection records and communications
- Review inspection documentation against building codes, life safety codes, licensing standards, and industry requirements
- Track and document corrective actions and closure evidence
- Prepare technical summaries, monitoring reports, and briefing materials
- Analyze monitoring outputs to identify trends, recurring compliance issues, and operational risks
- Maintain monitoring artifacts in designated repositories such as SharePoint
- Provide technical guidance and compliance support for care provider facilities, safety, and physical plant operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BA degree
- 7 years of related work experience
- At least 2 years of prior supervisory experience
- Proven experience evaluating physical facilities and building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, against federal, state, and local requirements and legal codes
- Facilities management or building inspection experience
- Familiarity with permits, inspection reports, compliance assessments, and service and maintenance records
- Existing MBI T2 Public Trust or ability to obtain one
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to travel frequently to designated sites, up to 25% of the time
- Skills in building inspections, construction, facility inspections, and regulatory compliance
- U.S. citizenship is not required
