Key responsibilities & impact

Perform data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
Develop rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis
Research vulnerabilities and high-risk areas within the Medicaid program
Integrate policy understanding with in-depth claims analysis
Present analytic findings through written, verbal, and visualization techniques
Communicate complex studies and recommended actions to diverse audiences
Use critical thinking and exploratory research to understand program rules
Analyze large datasets to uncover meaningful patterns and trends
Collaborate with leadership and team members to identify solutions to complex challenges
Support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services mission to detect and prevent fraud, waste, or abuse across Medicaid through advanced analytics and data visualization

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree
At least 8+ years of T-MSIS experience conducting advanced analysis of Medicaid data
Experience using SQL, Python, Tableau, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar analytic, reporting, and dashboard/visualization tools
Experience building advanced analytic solutions through understanding of Medicaid policy
Experience building analytics and visualization solutions to detect and prevent fraud, waste, or abuse
Skills in Big Data, Data Analytics, and Statistical Analysis
NACI (T1) public trust requirement
Scheduled availability for 40 hours per week
Travel less than 10%
