Senior Human Performance Advisor
General Dynamics Information Technology. Serve as the enterprise-level technical authority for human performance within the POTFF program .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the enterprise-level technical authority for human performance within the POTFF program
- Provide strategic guidance, oversight and coordination across multiple components and theater commands
- Assist the supervisory domain lead with program oversight for Components, HQ and TSOCs
- Perform administrative duties and, if authorized and desired, work minimal hours at HQ and SOCCENT POTFF to maintain a professional license
- Provide oversight and compliance documentation for site assist visits and IG inspections
- Conduct or assist with enterprise meetings and disseminate information across the chain of command
- Lead strategic planning, policy development and data integration to advance readiness across global SOF units
- Direct and mentor embedded operational health and performance professionals
- Create and disseminate training, research and communications for human performance initiatives
- Consult with senior leaders across USSOCOM and the DOW
- Champion innovation, interagency collaboration and evidence-based practices
- Support mitigation, treatment, management and preservation of Service Members’ and families’ cognitive, physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in accredited exercise science, health science, physical education-related discipline, dietetics, physical therapy or sports psychology
- Current certification as one of: CSCS, SCCC, Physical Therapist, Certified Consultant through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (CCAASP), Registered Dietitian (RD), or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable accumulated experience
- At least 5 years embedded in USSOCOM POTFF
- Experience developing long- and short-range planning and coordination of sport- and/or mission-specific performance programs
- Experience producing attributable results with individual and group athletes at NCAA Collegiate Division I, Olympic, professional sports, and/or SOF Operator levels
- Experience conducting multidomain programming, including lecture, multimedia and practical hands-on training related to strength, conditioning, performance nutrition and team dynamics
- Secret or Top Secret clearance, or ability to obtain clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- Less than 10% travel required
