About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide advanced logistics and readiness analysis, supply chain support, and process improvement expertise to Navy and Marine Corps units
  • Oversee tasking requirements and evaluate logistics and AIS-backed operations
  • Mentor junior and intermediate analysts
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to assess logistics effectiveness and efficiency
  • Analyze logistics readiness, cost-wise readiness, and high-priority readiness drivers
  • Recommend changes to policies, processes, and allowances to improve readiness and reduce cost
  • Review and analyze logistics activity and AIS data; develop metrics, reports, briefs, and presentations for Government decision-making
  • Track, document, and update readiness drivers including NORS/ANORS, NMCS/PMCS, CASREPs, CASCORs, 706/707 discrepancies, Broad Arrows, AWP, MICAPs, cannibalizations, and AMSRR requisitions/messages
  • Identify demand patterns and conduct allowance product analysis; prepare Allowance Change Requests and demand recommendations
  • Conduct allowance reviews and usage data analysis for outfitting, re-outfitting, and grooming activities
  • Support or conduct inspections, assessments, assist visits, training, and implementation support
  • Prepare reports documenting discrepancies, corrective actions, and process improvements
  • Provide technical and managerial logistics advice and guidance to Naval Operational Forces units
  • Assess manpower requirements and impacts of manning changes on logistics operations
  • Participate in logistics meetings, CPI events, and working groups
  • Review and recommend updates to logistics policies, instructions, and readiness reporting tools
  • Support financial and inventory activities, inventory discrepancy research, property accountability, and audit readiness
  • Prepare and edit administrative, management, and technical documents and document daily tasks for the MCTMR

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS and embark on ships or deployed units
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related business discipline, or 8 additional years of experience in lieu of the degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a combination of Navy logistics and Navy logistics AIS management
  • Familiarity with Navy and Marine Corps supply and maintenance processes
  • Familiarity with Navy retail and wholesale supply
  • Familiarity with Navy logistics AIS functionality and usage in support of Naval Operational Forces
  • Ability to work 12-hour days during underway or deployed evolutions when required
  • Willingness to work primarily at government facilities within 50 miles of specified hubs
  • Ability to work aligned to local command core hours
