About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and govern enterprise Microsoft Power Platform environments, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio
- Manage development, test, and production environments, including provisioning, configuration, security, and lifecycle management
- Establish and enforce Data Loss Prevention policies and connector governance
- Manage security roles, permissions, access controls, and service accounts
- Administer Dataverse security roles, capacity, auditing, and environment settings
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor the Power Platform Center of Excellence Starter Kit
- Implement governance standards, policies, guardrails, and environment strategies
- Monitor platform health, usage, capacity, performance, and adoption
- Manage Dataverse database, file, and log capacity
- Support ALM, solution deployment, Power Platform pipelines, and enterprise deployment processes
- Manage connectors, connection references, gateways, custom connectors, and integrations with Microsoft 365 and enterprise systems
- Support on-premises data gateways
- Support licensing, capacity planning, service agreements, and procurement activities
- Maintain auditing, analytics, inventory, and administrative reporting
- Support citizen developer programs through governance, security, development standards, and operational guardrails
- Review and address abandoned, inactive, orphaned, or noncompliant applications, flows, environments, and connections
- Troubleshoot platform, environment, connector, gateway, access, and deployment issues
- Develop and maintain SOPs, governance documentation, and technical documentation
- Enforce change and configuration management processes
- Collaborate with developers, SharePoint administrators, architects, security teams, and business stakeholders
- Present technical and governance concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting, consultation, governance guidance, and mentoring junior staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required
- 6+ years of related experience with enterprise-scale systems or platform administration required
- Hands-on experience administering, managing, configuring, securing, and governing Microsoft Power Platform in an enterprise environment
- Experience supporting multiple Power Platform environments and enterprise applications across development, test, and production
- Strong proficiency with Power Platform administration and governance, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio
- Strong proficiency with Power Platform Admin Center and environment administration
- Experience defining and managing enterprise Power Platform environment strategies
- Knowledge of Power Platform Data Loss Prevention policies, connector classification, and connector governance
- Understanding of Dataverse administration, security roles, permissions, capacity management, auditing, and environment configuration
- Experience deploying, configuring, and operating the Microsoft Power Platform CoE Starter Kit
- Experience monitoring Power Platform usage, health, capacity, performance, and adoption
- Understanding of Power Platform licensing, capacity, and service limits
- Experience supporting Power Platform ALM, solutions, environment variables, connection references, and deployment processes
- Knowledge of Power Platform pipelines and enterprise deployment practices
- Experience administering on-premises data gateways and supporting enterprise data-source connections
- Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, security groups, service accounts, authentication, and role-based access controls
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Azure, SQL Server, and their integration with Power Platform
- Ability to use PowerShell and other administrative tools for automation, monitoring, and reporting
- Understanding of platform governance, security, compliance, auditing, and change/configuration management
- Understanding of Agile methodology
- Ability to troubleshoot complex Power Platform environment, access, connector, gateway, and deployment issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical and governance concepts to diverse technical backgrounds
- Ability to work effectively with developers, architects, security teams, administrators, and business stakeholders
- Ability to mentor, coach, and develop junior staff
- Willingness to stay current on Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Azure, AI/Copilot, security, governance, and emerging technologies
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200) or Power Platform Solution Architect (PL-600)
- Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a position of Public Trust
- US citizenship is not required
