About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom SharePoint Online solutions using SPFx
- Develop responsive and reusable SPFx web parts, extensions, and components using TypeScript, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Develop and enhance SharePoint Online sites, pages, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, navigation, and other components
- Customize SharePoint experiences using modern extensibility approaches and Microsoft-supported patterns
- Integrate SharePoint solutions with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint REST APIs, enterprise APIs, and data sources
- Integrate SharePoint Online with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Teams, and Dataverse
- Develop solutions using SharePoint lists and libraries as secure, structured data sources
- Implement SharePoint permissions, role-based access, and security requirements
- Develop reusable components and common solution patterns
- Modernize legacy SharePoint solutions and workflows
- Support SharePoint Server-to-SharePoint Online migration and modernization
- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint, SPFx, JavaScript, API, integration, and performance issues
- Optimize solutions for usability, accessibility, maintainability, and performance
- Perform unit and integration testing and support UAT
- Participate in code reviews and apply development standards and best practices
- Use Git and enterprise source-control tools
- Support ALM and controlled deployment across development, test, and production environments
- Maintain technical, deployment, configuration, and support documentation
- Collaborate with architects, administrators, Power Platform developers, business analysts, security teams, and stakeholders
- Translate business and functional requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable, reusable solutions
- Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to end users and junior technical staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required
- 6+ years of experience developing enterprise SharePoint solutions required
- Hands-on experience developing SharePoint Online solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- Experience with TypeScript, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services and enterprise systems
- Strong hands-on experience with SPFx
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience developing SPFx web parts, extensions, and reusable components
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online development and modern SharePoint extensibility
- Experience with SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, pages, and permissions
- Experience with Microsoft Graph and SharePoint REST APIs
- Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating SharePoint with external systems and data sources
- Experience integrating SharePoint with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 services
- Working knowledge of SharePoint security, permissions, authentication, and role-based access
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing SharePoint and SPFx solutions
- Experience with Git and source-control practices
- Experience supporting solution packaging and deployment through the SharePoint App Catalog
- Familiarity with CI/CD and ALM practices for SPFx solutions
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or comparable enterprise development and deployment tools
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and modern web-development practices
- Familiarity with SharePoint Server and SharePoint Server-to-SharePoint Online modernization is preferred
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Ability to translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, secure, and reusable technical solutions
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with architects, administrators, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to stay current on SharePoint, SPFx, Microsoft 365, and modern web-development technologies
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) required
- Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a position of Public Trust
- US citizenship is not required
- Less than 10% travel required
- Ability to work 40 scheduled hours weekly
