About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Produce clear, accurate, and well-structured technical documentation, including plans, procedures, reports, and customer deliverables
Edit and refine content for grammar, clarity, organization, and logical flow
Improve tables, graphics, and diagrams to professional standards
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts to gather information and translate complex concepts into user-friendly documentation
Manage document versions, status tracking, and deadlines
Update project tracking tools and maintain organized file repositories
Ensure content follows templates, formatting guidelines, and accessibility standards, including Section 508 compliance when applicable
Review and prioritize documentation requests
Communicate with project teams regarding needed clarifications or corrections
Conduct root cause analysis on documentation issues
Recommend improvements to templates, workflows, and content creation processes
Communicate with stakeholders to resolve questions and provide updates
Support cross-team collaboration by sharing best practices and assisting with onboarding
Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
5+ years of related experience in technical editing, documentation, or knowledge management
Technical editing and structured authoring
Experience with content management systems
Microsoft Office proficiency
Experience using AI tools
BPA techniques
Public Trust security clearance
US citizenship is not required
Ability to work in a hybrid Bossier City, Louisiana / remote Louisiana arrangement
Less than 10% travel required
