About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and support sourcing activities for a dedicated program aligned with category strategies
- Prepare and execute sourcing events
- Gather and validate business requirements
- Assess supplier capabilities using structured evaluation criteria
- Develop and issue RFQs
- Manage sourcing documentation and timelines
- Perform supplier and cost analyses and inform recommendations
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and coordinate supplier meetings
- Drive issue resolution and support early-stage supplier engagement
- Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance workflows
- Contribute to procurement tools, templates, and best practices updates
- Support strategic sourcing activities and contract negotiations
- Contribute to supplier management, risk mitigation, continuous improvement, process efficiency, and data quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree; 4 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree
- 2+ years of experience
- Government procurement experience highly desired; relevant experience in business, supply chain, operations, government contracting, or procurement-adjacent fields also accepted
- Written and oral communication experience at all company levels
- Ability to research, analyze, compile, and assess business and financial data
- Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and quick learner
- Ability to manage multiple purchasing-process projects
- Must work in the office 3+ days a week in Sterling, Herndon, or Falls Church, Virginia
- US Citizenship required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance once hired
