About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and support daily Microsoft Windows system administration activities across DON AWS infrastructures
  • Assess systems and applications according to DoD STIGs and SRGs
  • Generate, analyze, and interpret ACAS scan results to identify vulnerabilities and support remediation
  • Perform continuous monitoring of security and privacy controls under DoDI 8510.01 RMF to support system ATO sustainment
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot IIS, Tomcat, and Apache web servers
  • Assess and resolve network issues involving VLAN tagging, subnetting, routing, link aggregation, LACP, and virtual network technologies
  • Maintain Active Directory and manage system and application user accounts
  • Document and submit DNS server updates within Navy and DISA domains
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity, communication, and technical issues affecting portfolio systems and applications
  • Analyze and resolve operating system, hardware, and application issues
  • Perform system failure analysis and recovery while ensuring file system integrity
  • Complete assigned service tickets
  • Monitor database logs, errors, performance, disk space, and CPU utilization
  • Support mission-critical Navy enterprise human resources systems across on-premise and AWS environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field; OR ten (10) years of demonstrated experience
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience as a Windows System Administrator
  • Experience applying DISA STIGs and IAVAs
  • Experience supporting Active Directory
  • Experience with security compliance tools such as ACAS
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities across Windows systems, networking, and enterprise applications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, service tickets, and operational deadlines
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with technical and business stakeholders
  • Experience working with IIS, Apache, and Tomcat preferred
  • Experience supporting cloud environments, AWS preferred
  • Hands-on experience with virtual environments
  • Network+, Security+, or higher certification meeting DoD CIO Information Assurance certification requirements
  • Must currently possess Secret clearance
  • Must be able to obtain Secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Position contingent upon favorable background investigation results
