About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build the product organization, including hiring, processes, review cadences, and operating rhythms
  • Establish product specifications, success metrics, experimentation practices, and prioritization processes
  • Define complex initiatives such as consumer experiences, payer integrations, and clinical workflows
  • Create execution plans with clear ownership
  • Own and evolve the roadmap across consumer experience, clinical/provider tooling, and pricing and payer infrastructure
  • Allocate engineering capacity and justify trade-offs across competing priorities
  • Balance near-term delivery with architecture and infrastructure needs
  • Develop business cases covering resource needs, expected outcomes, and timing
  • Champion initiatives with the CEO, Medical Director, CFO, and VP Engineering
  • Communicate product strategy internally and externally to partners, payers, and investors
  • Write specifications, review designs, and resolve engineering blockers
  • Partner with engineering leadership on sprint planning, sequencing, and capacity estimation
  • Report directly to the CEO and serve on the senior leadership team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Founder or early product leadership experience taking products from 0 to 1
  • Built and shipped a product from 0 to 1 as a founder, early product hire, or similarly ownership-heavy role
  • Demonstrated ability to build data-backed business cases and secure leadership buy-in
  • Experience managing a roadmap across multiple workstreams and making tradeoffs about engineering capacity
  • Experience building product process and team structure from scratch
  • Startup background and comfort with ambiguity, thin resourcing, and moving fast
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for aligning engineering, clinical, and business stakeholders
  • Healthcare, healthtech, or regulated-industry background (nice to have)
  • Marketplace or two-sided business model experience (nice to have)
  • Quantitative or technical background enabling deep collaboration with engineering (nice to have)
  • Willingness to work hybrid onsite 3x a week in San Francisco
