About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, analysis, and compliance activities for GIC India
Prepare annual budgets, monthly book close, variance analysis, and management reporting
Prepare audit-ready schedules, reconciliations, supporting workings, and documentation
Coordinate with statutory, tax, transfer pricing, and global internal auditors
Track audit requests, address queries, and support audit planning, fieldwork, and closure
Prepare transfer pricing workings and supporting documentation
Validate and analyze GST and TDS returns and reports
Monitor GST input tax credit and reconcile it with books and returns
Prepare GST refund workings and coordinate timely filing
Liaise with external consultants regarding GST notices, assessments, and government submissions
Prepare and maintain monthly GST/TDS schedules in BlackLine
Support STPI compliances, including annual and monthly filings and documentation
Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions
Account for month-end provisions, reversals, cost tracking, and variance analysis
Monitor prepaid costs, lease provisions, fixed assets, depreciation, and CAPEX
Review monthly MIS variance analysis and share observations and comments
Prepare monthly OneStream and COPA reporting
Support Spring Plan budgeting and monthly management reporting
Mentor and train new or junior team members
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timeliness and data accuracy
Establish governance mechanisms for audit trails and documentation
Drive process efficiencies, continuous improvement, simplification, and automation
Collaborate on site-wide initiatives and comply with General Mills policies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Chartered Accountant (CA) degree required
2 to 4 years of related experience
Strong technical accounting background
Strong Excel and database skills
Strong financial acumen, analytical and critical thinking skills, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the company organization
General Accounting, Direct and Indirect Tax work experience preferred
Applicants must meet minimum age qualifications in the country in which the job is located
