About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the Global Curriculum & Instruction team’s program implementation, instructional strategy, and strategic support model across Generation’s 17 countries and direct implementation projects
  • Develop and execute the vision and operating model for the Affiliate Support Team
  • Directly manage and coach regional and functional Global C&I Leads
  • Provide strategic guidance, problem-solving, and program implementation support to affiliate C&I leaders and CXOs
  • Serve as strategic thought partner to regional and country leadership on learning quality, instructional effectiveness, and program implementation
  • Monitor teaching and learning health through regional engagement, one-to-one meetings, implementation data, and learner outcomes
  • Identify risks and opportunities, support strategic decisions, and resolve complex stakeholder, implementation, and instructional quality challenges
  • Drive Generation’s global instructor support strategy and oversee initiatives such as the Learning & Teaching rubric
  • Develop processes and lead initiatives to improve program implementation and internal C&I operations
  • Sharpen instructional strategy for AI-enabled learning environments
  • Evolve the instructional model for rapid instructor onboarding, coaching, and quality assurance as affiliates shift to a Training Service Provider delivery model
  • Set the vision and instructional strategy for Generation Direct programs in Ghana, the United States, and Colombia, plus new direct-run geographies or experiments
  • Set and execute instructional experiment strategies, supervise adoption, and disseminate learnings across affiliates
  • Support Generation Direct operations by coaching and supervising Generation Direct Leads
  • Conduct performance evaluations, professional development, check-ins, recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for Global C&I team members
  • Lead continuous improvement of C&I processes, tools, and systems
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic shifts, team structures, roles, responsibilities, and ways of working
  • Provide reporting and actionable feedback to senior leadership on support-service effectiveness and impact
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and use data to drive decisions
  • Oversee global sharing of learning and teaching best practices
  • Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and professional development of country C&I leaders and senior teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant educational area
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years instructional design experience, including multi-week programs based on needs analysis and active, practice-based learning experiences
  • Minimum of 5 years setting up and leading high-performing teams
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional leadership
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders within complex organizational structures and partnerships
  • Strong project management skills, managing many stakeholders and workflows on a tight timeline while maintaining high quality standards
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, curriculum development principles, and instructional design best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for program improvement
  • Experience teaching and/or designing instructional content for adult learners from low-income, diverse communities preferred
  • Experience teaching and/or designing instructional materials for populations from different cultures preferred
  • Experience designing blended and fully online learning experiences preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
