About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide real-time Spanish/English interpretation for clinicians and patients during office hours
- Work directly with a solo provider to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
- Create and update telephone encounters in Epic
- Document patient communication and support clinical workflows in Epic
- Listen to patient voicemails and transcribe them into Epic telephone encounters for the appropriate clinical team
- Make limited outbound patient calls when requested by a clinician
- Document patient outreach appropriately
- Remove documentation and communication work from clinicians so they can focus on patient care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fluency in English and Spanish in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of Epic
- Understanding of clinical documentation and telephone encounters
- Ability to listen to voicemails, identify relevant information, document clearly, and route appropriately
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinic environment
- Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Medical terminology and clinical documentation experience preferred
- Medical scribe, medical assistant, interpreter, or similar clinical experience preferred
