About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the creation, organization, and administration of legal entities in Canada and abroad
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in Canada and internationally
- Manage commercial contracts, leases, vendor agreements, partnerships, and other key agreements
- Establish, maintain, and enhance governance, compliance, and integrity programs
- Resolve governance, compliance, and integrity-related issues
- Coordinate activities with external legal counsel
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to all departments
- Support the corporate structure, governance framework, and contracts required for Genetec’s international growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- Member in good standing with the Quebec Bar or another Canadian provincial or territorial bar
- 5–7+ years of corporate and commercial law experience, with a proven track record of leading legal projects
- Knowledge of international legal frameworks and corporate governance practices
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with initiative, accountability, and commitment to the company’s objectives
- Strong ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments and with international teams across multiple time zones
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to professional growth
- Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken
