About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Grow business across regions of the Republic of Ireland
  • Strengthen relationships with established customers and identify new business opportunities
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of merchant partners and contractors
  • Use construction-sector knowledge to uncover opportunities and expand the Genuit Group product offering
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of future projects
  • Own key customer relationships and proactively review sales performance and purchasing trends
  • Drive profitable sales growth by understanding customer needs and recommending product and technical solutions
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity and regional opportunities
  • Develop sales of the wider Genuit Group product portfolio
  • Target new accounts and opportunities to increase market share
  • Conduct regular branch and account reviews with key merchants
  • Develop project opportunities through relationships with contractors, specifiers and M&E consultants
  • Review and interpret customer and sales data using Excel, QlikView and other systems
  • Partner with marketing teams on campaigns, promotions, trade activity and sales initiatives
  • Represent Genuit Group at customer meetings, training sessions, industry events and trade shows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in construction-related sales, ideally within a solution-led environment
  • Strong knowledge and commercial awareness of the wider construction market
  • Confident communicating technical products, solutions and commercial propositions to a range of audiences
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build credibility at different levels
  • Proactive, customer-led approach
  • Ability to handle customer queries or concerns professionally
  • Self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of a territory
  • Ability to balance existing accounts with new business opportunities
  • Competent across Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
  • Full clean driving licence
