About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Associate Vice President of Graduate Admissions in managing technical, administrative, and personnel operations
  • Enforce Graduate Studies policies and procedures
  • Instruct faculty and staff on best practices for administration of duties
  • Train staff on admissions processes
  • Advise prospective students on graduate programs
  • Recruit and counsel prospective students on admissions requirements for approximately 150 graduate programs
  • Coordinate release of admissions decisions with graduate programs and the Office of Merit Aid
  • Serve as a primary contact for specified graduate programs regarding application and admissions needs
  • Support program events and communications setup
  • Manage and supervise student staff supporting recruitment, tours, administrative work, and communications
  • Support training of temporary and seasonal staff
  • Manage day-to-day workflow of academic credentials and admissions processing
  • Review and evaluate domestic and international transcripts
  • Calculate GPAs
  • Organize applications for committee review
  • Support prospect events and outreach recruitment activities, including information sessions, webinars, one-on-one appointments, graduate fairs, and organizational outreach
  • Work with University Offices including the Registrar, Financial Aid, Office of Billing and Payment Services, Office of Global Services, Student Health, and Student Employment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in higher education admissions
  • Administrative experience
  • High general technical competency
  • Expertise in foreign credential evaluation
  • Knowledge of international educational systems
  • Translation / language skills desired
  • Slate admissions system experience desired
