About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with all aspects of the admissions processes
- Review applications and render admissions decisions
- Represent the law school at recruitment fairs, forums and panels
- Counsel students regarding the admissions process
- Develop and implement strategies for recruiting and yielding prospective students
- Build new recruitment initiatives, including initiatives for students from historically underrepresented backgrounds
- Review applications and conduct applicant interviews
- Plan and carry out online and in-person recruiting events
- Conduct marketing and outreach to applicants
- Assist admissions leadership with other projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- J.D. or graduate degree required
- 1-3 years experience in areas such as admissions, counseling, recruiting and/or higher education administration preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft, especially Excel
- Experience with student information systems or similar databases preferred
- Working knowledge of web development technologies and emerging social media preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Ability to work with applicants, alumni, faculty, staff and students
- Occasional evening and weekend event responsibilities
- Seasonal recruiting travel
