About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide remote and onsite program support and coordination for the Making an Exoneree Course at Georgetown College of Arts and Sciences (GOVX 4000 / Prison Reform Project)
- Support the course across each of Making an Exoneree’s partner schools in partnership with Georgetown Law’s Practicum course (LAWJ-1838-05)
- Conduct case review
- Coordinate program activities
- Provide course support
- Work with faculty and graduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences and the GU Law Center during fall case review and spring course implementation
- Collaborate with staff and students at Making an Exoneree partner organizations
- Report to Marc Howard, Director of the Prisons and Justice Initiative
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and up to 1 year of relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Demonstrated interest in working with incarcerated and returning citizens, especially those impacted by wrongful conviction
- Experience working with prisons and/or programs for returning citizens preferred
- Strong research skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities/projects
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, Airtable, and Box preferred
