About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop a formal Carroll Fellows alumni network
  • Work with the Office of Advancement on alumni database management
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Program Director
  • Organize major school-year activities, including Labor Day and MLK Day orientations, the Carroll Spring Dinner, and recruitment of the next Carroll class
  • Plan events and develop event frameworks
  • Coordinate strategically to align activities with program goals
  • Engage alumni to foster buy-in and build momentum
  • Liaise with the Office of Advancement on alumni relations and fundraising
  • Develop organizational frameworks and refine and verify alumni data
  • Support leadership recruitment
  • Organize documentation and track milestones and deliverables
  • Complete assigned tasks related to the Carroll Fellows or English Department
  • Collaborate with the Carroll Scholars Program Director, university stakeholders, program advisors, current scholars, alumni, the Office of Advancement, and the Department of English

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Some background in project coordination, alumni relations, event planning, or higher education program management
  • Ability to organize complex projects
  • Ability to manage stakeholder communication
  • Ability to track milestones and deliverables
  • Ability to develop structural and event frameworks for the Carroll Fellows Alumni Group
  • Cover letter and resume required
  • Preferred: working knowledge of the Carroll Fellows, ideally through participation in the program
