About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Organize and advertise Africa-China Initiative events
  • Administer key parts of the grant
  • Facilitate communications with guest speakers and event co-sponsors
  • Serve as a liaison between the Africa-China Initiative and Georgetown University administrative offices and partner institutions
  • Coordinate regularly with staff and faculty in African Studies and other SFS programs and units
  • Report to the Director of the African Studies Program and work closely with the Africa-China Initiative Program Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Google, MS Office, Canva, Mailchimp, and Zoom webinar hosting
  • Website content management experience; WordPress preferred
  • Social media experience
  • Strong organizational, time management, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work 15 hours per week
