About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operationalize Geotab’s compliance programs and champion a culture of integrity.
  • Drive adherence to policies, procedures, and evolving global regulatory requirements by designing and executing right-sized compliance initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive, risk-based ethics and compliance strategy.
  • Identify compliance gaps, recommend solutions, and align programs to global business goals.
  • Lead impartial investigations into non-compliance, unethical conduct, and policy violations, using AI tools to enhance efficiency and pattern detection.
  • Deliver clear investigation findings to leadership.
  • Draft, review, and improve ethics and compliance policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption & Anti-Bribery, Third-Party Risk Management, Sanctions, Conflicts of Interest, and Whistleblower policies.
  • Design and own compliance risk assessment programs using AI-powered analytics.
  • Advise the compliance team and business partners on ABAC, third-party risk, business continuity, records retention, and sanctions.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Technology, HR, IT, Operations, and Senior Management to embed compliance into business processes.
  • Build AI-powered tools, workflow automations, automated systems, and self-service knowledge repositories.
  • Monitor evolving laws, regulations, industry standards, and best practices relevant to technology-sector ethics and compliance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 - 8 years of required experience in developing and managing ethics and compliance programs, conducting internal investigations, and leading complex cross-functional compliance initiatives.
  • Rapidly learns, adopts, and deploys new technologies, SaaS platforms, and AI tools.
  • Comfortable building workflow automations to eliminate repetitive administrative tasks and drive self-service adoption.
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to identify, evaluate and mitigate compliance risks across processes.
  • Upholds the highest ethical standards and promotes honesty and transparency.
  • Balances regulatory requirements with business objectives and recommends forward-looking strategies.
  • Effectively communicates compliance expectations and influences stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Leads cross-functional initiatives and builds relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Uses data and evidence-based approaches to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Stays updated on evolving regulatory landscapes and industry best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with a focus on ethics and compliance programs (Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree required).
  • Professional Certification in CCEP is preferred.
  • Reliable internet connection with at least 50mb DL/10mb UL when working from home.
  • Proof of eligibility to work and ability to pass a background check.
