About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain automated testing solutions for software and embedded systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web, mobile, desktop, firmware, device drivers, and telematics hardware.
- Write automated test scripts in Python, Java, C++, or similar languages.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and quality assurance.
- Define, design, and implement CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation.
- Manage functional and non-functional test coverage.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and technical teams to define testing requirements and strategies.
- Build and maintain software and embedded-system test environments, tools, and infrastructure.
- Test hardware-software integration, real-time performance, memory constraints, reliability, safety, scalability, and functionality.
- Monitor test results, logs, and system behavior; identify issues and automate log scraping and issue tracking.
- Continuously improve testing processes, frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–5 years of required previous experience in QA Automation, Manual Testing, Security Testing, Performance Testing, Agile QA, or using Python/pytest to develop hardware-firmware automation test frameworks.
- 1+ years of experience working in embedded development and low-level programming, preferably using C.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Solid understanding of software development, QA practices/tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience developing unit, integration, system, power, performance, and stress tests using automation.
- Highly organized, with excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle fast-changing priorities under pressure.
- Assets include experience with SCRUM, RTOS, Linux, GCP, BigQuery, and SQL.
- Reliable internet connection with at least 50mb DL/10mb UL when working from home.
