About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for Geotab’s Public Sector segments: Public Works, Public Safety, People Transportation, and Public Administration
  • Lead comprehensive segment marketing strategies and mobilize cross-functional teams around business goals
  • Define and maintain ideal customer profiles and buyer persona maps
  • Conduct buyer interviews, surveys, win/loss analysis, and industry research
  • Translate market insights into marketing programs, messaging updates, and sales tools
  • Develop vertical-specific content and enablement assets, including messaging and positioning, brochures, videos, industry guides, web pages, case studies, solution playbooks, and pitch decks
  • Support market mapping, quarterly initiatives, and identification of 1-, 3-, and 5-year opportunities
  • Articulate Geotab’s value proposition and integrate purchase drivers into segment playbooks and strategy briefs
  • Partner with Product Marketing on launches, segment tiering, value propositions, proof points, objection handling, and launch materials
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development on segment- and account-specific growth strategies
  • Represent Geotab as a thought leader and subject matter expert at industry events and associations
  • Develop association relationship and engagement strategies
  • Demonstrate pipeline results and support Geotab’s public sector revenue objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 8+ years of proven experience in a marketing strategy role, with preference for B2B SaaS or technology organizations
  • 3+ years of experience in vertical or segment-specific B2B marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Experience with industry-specific buyer dynamics, relevant compliance considerations, and complex procurement processes
  • Experience in telematics, fleet management, or connected vehicle technology is advantageous
  • Ability to conduct and synthesize segment research, including buyer interviews, competitive intelligence, and win/loss data
  • Ability to translate research findings into actionable strategy
  • Experience writing value propositions and operationalizing them through messaging frameworks, marketing collateral, sales materials, and thought leadership content
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including interpreting performance data
  • Excellent project management, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Occasional travel of up to 20% may be required
  • Reliable internet connection with at least 50mb DL/10mb UL when working from home
  • Proof of eligibility to work and ability to pass a background check
  • MBA is an asset
