About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of customer vehicles
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition
  • Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Plan necessary repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers
  • Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, pliers, and other tools to repair vehicle sections
  • Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when necessary
  • Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage
  • Remove damaged vehicle sections and replace them with new or aftermarket parts
  • Replace or repair glass, windshields, and interior parts as needed
  • Weld, attach, and fit parts into place
  • Prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or an agreed-upon equivalent
  • Complete work orders within labor time guidelines
  • Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure work was executed correctly
  • Work in alignment with team members to achieve repair facility KPIs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
  • Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
  • Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
  • Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
  • Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
  • Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
