About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interact with customers and shop representatives
- Test vehicles and determine testing and analysis requirements
- Perform diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations, and analysis
- Perform wiring repairs
- Advise shops of needed repairs
- Control inventory, communicate needed orders, and verify receipts
- Write, print, and email service invoices
- Collect signatures or payment for completed work
- Deliver completed invoices and payments to the office
- Maintain shop equipment, supplies, and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and advise management of repairs
- Keep Google Drive up to date
- Collaborate with teammates to schedule and complete jobs according to PPT guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of OE scan tools
- Ability to learn new tools as needed
- Knowledge of wiring repair procedures
- Ability to service A/C systems
- Diagnostic skills in the automotive trade
- Basic computer knowledge, including email, spreadsheet, and messaging systems
- Willingness and ability to update job knowledge through educational opportunities and technical publications
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- 4+ years of relevant automotive/electronic technician experience required
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, with reasonable accommodations available
