About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement and deliver HR products, services, and solutions to the Midwest U.S. Collision Region
  • Consult with General Managers and Market Managers on business and people issues
  • Support talent planning, performance reviews, career development, employee development, ID&E, retention, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Develop and execute plans to reduce turnover in high-turnover positions and markets
  • Develop and deploy resources and tools to support a discrimination- and harassment-free work environment
  • Measure employee engagement, turnover, and compliance with applicable laws
  • Coach managers on individual development plans
  • Facilitate succession planning, performance management, performance planning, and talent management programs
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues and support employee investigations
  • Support local leaders in talent acquisition activities
  • Ensure markets and shops maintain a positive, inclusive work environment
  • Oversee escalation and resolution of HR questions, issues, and requests
  • Develop and execute innovative people programs for a high-performance culture
  • Support a cohesive, collaborative, growth-focused team
  • Provide Human Resources support for acquisitions in the assigned division
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be located in Illinois and able to commute to the Rosemont, IL office as needed
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel to Canada
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, related field, or professional experience equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience in human resources and supporting operations leadership
  • Experience providing field support in a multi-site/location environment
  • Prior experience creating or implementing a people strategy for an hourly/salary workforce
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Advanced skills using Google Workspace (formerly G-Suite)
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent problem solving and quality decision-making
  • Strong business acumen
  • Flexibility in availability to support business operations, including occasional evening and weekend hours
  • Reasonable access to an airport
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time for business purposes, within state and out of state
  • Some overnight travel required
