About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop compelling insights by synthesizing qualitative and quantitative findings for internal and external audiences
- Conduct qualitative visual analysis of multi-format creative content to identify themes, patterns, customer trends, content needs, and opportunities
- Mine consumer research databases, world news, pop culture, advertising, and fine art/photography sources for insights
- Create subject-area lightboxes in the proprietary content management system
- Collate relevant customer feedback
- Find and archive relevant tear sheets, swipes, and visual references
- Identify visual needs to support regional creative briefing strategy
- Collaborate with Creative Direction and Curation teams on contributor-created visuals
- Provide updates on cultural, social, and behavioral trends affecting visuals
- Prepare insight research presentations to engage, upskill, and activate the contributor community
- Assist with customer-facing presentations, marketing materials, and ad hoc requests
- Write articles positioning Getty Images as a creative thought leader
- Coordinate with Curation to create visual insight boards and promotional sets
- Support customer meetings by sharing visual insights and creative expertise to drive revenue
- Act as spokesperson for webinars, events, panel discussions, and media interviews as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3–5 years of experience in a related field, such as advertising/marketing, research, photography, or video
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to synthesize and interpret large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data into visual insights
- Basic visual literacy and broad understanding of photography
- Understanding of trends in popular culture, including film, TV, music, and art
- Understanding of global news
- Intermediate quantitative data literacy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex ideas to different audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines
- Experience in a fast-moving, dynamic creative environment
- Positive, collaborative attitude and passion for creative excellence
- Ability to balance empathic partnership and consensus-building with data-driven decision-making
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Keynote and Excel
