About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the premier IT leader for the USA area and single point of contact for assigned Area Vice Presidents
  • Lead, manage, mentor, and develop multiple Regional IT Managers across the USA
  • Ensure technical goals are met through IT leadership and support across the region
  • Oversee service delivery and support processes to meet stakeholder expectations effectively and cost-efficiently
  • Define and design technology solutions focused on business value using IT best practices
  • Map business processes and translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Utilize Agile methodologies
  • Partner with AVPs to coordinate and prioritize applications, infrastructure, M&A integrations, and facility-related technical requests
  • Lead USA area IT operations and cultivate relationships across the business and IT organization
  • Determine AVP technology needs and recommend modifications to operational applications and systems
  • Direct Tier I, II, and III support issues and escalate when necessary
  • Monitor IT industry trends and digital advances to identify opportunities
  • Solve customer challenges with effective, efficient, and scalable technical solutions
  • Assist with IT departmental communications to ensure transparency and alignment
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Management, or equivalent executive leadership experience
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience
  • At least 3+ years in a senior leadership role managing multi-region teams
  • Direct experience in heavy industry, logistics, waste management, environmental services, or multi-site industrial operations strongly preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 30–40% across the US
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and empower management-level direct reports across a wide geographic area
  • Excellent understanding of organizational goals and objectives
  • Ability to interpret business information into idea documents, business cases, and value plans
  • Ability to manage resources within a cross-functional, matrixed, team-oriented environment
  • Deep knowledge of technology trends relating to software applications used in the waste industry
  • Expert negotiation of business needs and priorities with key stakeholders
  • Strong ability to conduct meetings, train, and educate business stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and adaptability skills
  • Must be user-focused and dedicated to excellent customer relations
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
