Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails.
  • Design, implement, and optimize relational databases, ensuring efficiency and data integrity.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks in applications and services.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure delivery quality.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience developing with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and operating REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with software quality practices such as TDD (Test-Driven Development).
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Preferred: experience with application monitoring and observability.
  • Preferred: knowledge of microservices.
  • Preferred: experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Preferred: experience with automation tools and infrastructure as code.
  • Preferred: knowledge of containers and orchestration, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
