About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute Project Security Assessments and related security reviews for applications, infrastructure, and components undergoing cloud migration
Manage a portfolio of assessments in line with service-level agreements
Facilitate submission, review, and tracking of security-control issues and exceptions
Escalate business-critical issues and exception decisions to the Security Partner
Assist with thematic and risk-driven cloud migration security assessments
Validate AWS-native controls, including IAM, Security Groups/NACLs, KMS/encryption, WAF, CloudTrail/CloudWatch, GuardDuty/Config, and vulnerability scanning
Coordinate penetration-testing activities where required
Identify situations requiring Security Partner involvement
Maintain assessment status, progress notes, and outstanding items in the organization's GRC platform
Provide regular status updates to application, project, and security stakeholders
Interpret and consistently apply security policies, standards, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in information security, risk management, audit, or compliance
Demonstrable cybersecurity experience with a technical background and/or experience conducting security risk assessments or audits
Hands-on experience working in or assessing AWS environments
Ability to review architecture diagrams and cloud configurations
Strong presentation, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
Experience interpreting and applying security policies, standards, and procedures
AWS IAM, VPC, Security Groups, KMS, WAF, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, and AWS Config
Knowledge of common cloud migration patterns and security considerations
Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT
Knowledge of risk analysis, assessment, treatment, and management methodologies
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business functions
Strong attention to detail, consistency, and efficiency
CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, or CISSP are desired/advantageous but not required
Experience with Archer GRC or similar tools is beneficial but not required
