About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support heritage advice and approvals processes across diverse projects in Western Australia and nationally
  • Work on projects across the renewables, transport, water, energy, resources, and environment sectors
  • Investigate and report on heritage matters, including statutory approvals and consultation with Traditional Owners, through field and desktop work
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, internal specialists, sub-consultants, Commonwealth and State Government Departments, Agencies and Local Councils
  • Support and contribute to the continued development of the team’s technical skills through mentorship
  • Develop and support new business opportunities within the Cultural Heritage sector in Western Australia and nationally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience across heritage approval processes in Western Australia
  • A Bachelor’s degree, and Honours or post graduate qualifications in archaeology or cultural heritage management is required
  • Experience in a consulting environment strongly preferred
  • Ability to build positive client relationships
  • Openness to identifying and developing new business
  • A current Western Australian driver’s license
