About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer core and ancillary benefit programs, including health and welfare plans, charitable giving programs, EPA, and other employee perks
  • Maintain employee records for pay and benefits, including enrollments, deductions, direct deposits, and pay file changes
  • Partner on annual benefits renewal and Open Enrollment with external vendors
  • Oversee Medicare eligibility administration and required employee notifications
  • Educate employees about benefit programs, changes, eligibility, and deadlines
  • Coordinate leave of absence processes and policies with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Audit benefits carrier invoices against current enrollments and coordinate corrections
  • Administer 401(k) programs, including change files, audits, and nondiscrimination testing
  • Oversee and administer the Profit Sharing Plan, including annual testing and contributions
  • Support annual 401(k) and profit participation audits
  • Maintain regulatory reporting and compliance, including Form 5500, Section 125, HIPAA, SOC 1, Medicare Part D reports, and annual workers’ compensation audits
  • Reconcile benefit-related data with People and Finance and resolve discrepancies
  • Liaise with Dayforce and Puzzle HR to build vendor relationships and resolve issues
  • Report to the Manager, People Operations and Total Rewards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years’ experience in benefits administration
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working with benefits vendors and communicating with internal and external parties
  • Experience with HRIS; Dayforce experience preferred
  • Knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and PFL
  • Experience developing and scaling processes in a rapid-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and multiple tasks
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee, benefits, and compensation information
  • Ability to collaborate with vendors, People, Finance, and other internal stakeholders
