About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve on the GHX Value Analysis Advisory Services Team, pairing subject-matter expertise with evidence to deliver actionable recommendations for medical device use in health systems
- Develop expertise and knowledge bases covering cardiovascular, interventional radiology, and general surgery device spend, utilization trends, market trends, product selection, utilization, vendor landscape, and reimbursement
- Analyze and interpret clinical and financial data to inform value-based device spend decisions
- Maintain current knowledge of GHX Value Analysis research, evidence insights, recommendations, market dynamics, and device trends
- Assess clients’ strategic sourcing processes and recommend best practices
- Present actionable sourcing and utilization strategies to health system leadership and physicians to reduce costs, unwarranted variation, and improve outcomes
- Manage multiple concurrent client engagements focused on evidence-based physician preference item strategies
- Engage supply chain and clinician clients in discussions about scopes of work, content delivery, feedback, current state, and recommended best practices
- Collaborate with the solution advisory team to create scalable approaches and content on evidence, device comparisons, and strategy recommendations
- Develop high-impact processes and reusable, scalable tools for GHX Value Analysis’s advisory services model
- Educate internal stakeholders on device trends and healthcare sourcing strategy
- Support product development and research prioritization through thought leadership and client feedback
- Liaise with sales and marketing teams as needed to represent client needs and GHX Value Analysis’s value
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree in business or healthcare administration, supply chain, or a clinical-related field (or equivalent work- or education-related experience)
- 4+ years' experience at a healthcare provider, medical device manufacturer, or healthcare consultancy with deep focus in cardiovascular, interventional radiology, and/or general surgery devices
- Understanding of device sourcing strategies and vendor/device utilization and standardization initiatives
- Experience analyzing and interpreting clinical and financial healthcare data to derive actionable insights
- Ability to quickly identify underlying drivers of problems, develop hypotheses, and execute on a path to solve
- Experience and ability to influence and communicate complicated ideas and present to senior health system leaders, especially physician and clinical leadership, with minimal guidance
- Strong customer service focus; good judgment, tact, and diplomacy with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills, attention to detail, independent prioritization, cross-team collaboration, and ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, manage ambiguity, and demonstrate a doer mentality
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel to client sites as necessary, approximately 20% travel
