About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage end-to-end worker administration, including document verification, contract issuance and amendments/extensions, medical checks, qualification/certificate tracking and exit documentation
  • Prepare and review pre-payroll and pre-invoice packs for pay runs and client billing
  • Respond to worker and operational queries about pay, contracts and administration
  • Monitor time and attendance data and process timesheets and absence records
  • Manage adjustments including bonuses, deductions and other pay variances
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements and internal processes
  • Identify and escalate risks or changes affecting pay, invoicing or margin
  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Payroll and Finance to resolve issues, control labour costs and protect margin
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process documentation
  • Act as a subject-matter contact for the Care Team and apprentices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in workforce administration, HR operations or payroll coordination
  • Staffing or agency back-office experience is desirable
  • Good working knowledge of UK payroll principles and related compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactional data
  • Confident using IT systems
  • Experience of payroll, ATS or ERP platforms
  • Good Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Well organised and able to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Commitment to providing a positive worker experience
