About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical management of IT/OT aspects for integration solutions in international projects
- Accompany projects remotely and on-site throughout all project life cycle phases, from sales through implementation, customer handover and hypercare/support
- Develop and design IT/OT architectures considering high availability, redundancy and security standards
- Adapt concepts to customer requirements and find pragmatic solutions for integration components
- Translate customer requirements into technical implementations
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders as the primary technical point of contact
- Manage expectations and resolve conflicts
- Steer and supervise suppliers, ensuring deliverables meet quality, schedule and cost agreements
- Present, argue and adapt solution proposals with IT departments of international customers
- Monitor and report project progress to management
- Create technical documentation for project management, customers and suppliers
- Create work instructions for resident IT/OT engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related trainings / certifications (ICT area)
- Proven expertise in engineering medium to large scale IT/OT integration projects in plant engineering (automated intralogistics and/or production systems)
- Strong negotiation skills to develop joint solutions with customers and suppliers
- Ability to assess advantages and disadvantages of different IT architecture options
- Experience with physical and virtual server setups, network and security infrastructure design
- Strong knowledge of classic and hyperconverged datacenter design principles; private cloud datacenter design knowledge is advantageous
- Experience with secure network design principles
- Strong on-premises expertise; cloud expertise is advantageous
- Knowledge of IEC 62443 and ISO 27001; corresponding certification is advantageous
- Several years of experience in requirements analysis for IT/OT systems in automation and/or production environments
- Proven expertise with SLAs and highly available IT environments (ITIL v4)
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel worldwide for project assignments
- Excellent analytical skills, customer focus, stress resilience and intercultural competence
