About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the technical IT/OT aspects of integration solutions in international projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
  • Accompany projects on-site and/or remotely throughout all lifecycle phases, from sales through implementation, customer handover, and hyper care/support
  • Develop and design IT/OT architectures with high availability, redundancy, and security standards
  • Translate customer requirements into technical designs and implementations
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders as the primary technical point of contact
  • Steer and supervise suppliers, ensuring deliverables meet quality, schedule, and cost agreements
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and project risks early
  • Present, argue, and adapt solution proposals with international customers’ IT experts
  • Monitor and report project progress to management
  • Create technical documentation for project management, customers, and suppliers, plus work instructions for resident IT/OT engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related trainings / certifications (ICT area)
  • Proven track record in technical project management or lead engineering roles
  • Ideally supported by certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Expertise in engineering medium to large scale IT/OT integration projects in plant engineering, including automated intralogistics and/or production systems
  • Ability to assess advantages and disadvantages of various IT architecture options
  • Experience with physical and virtual server setups
  • Experience with network and security infrastructure design
  • Experience with datacenter design principles
  • Knowledge of IT security and related design principles
  • Ideally, on-premise expertise complemented by cloud expertise
  • Several years of experience in requirements analysis for IT/OT systems in automation and/or production environments
  • Strong expertise in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and supplier steering within complex engineering environments
  • Proven expertise with SLAs and associated design of highly available IT environments (ITIL v4)
  • Fluent spoken and written French and English
  • Willingness to travel worldwide for project assignments
  • Excellent analytical skills, customer focus, stress resilience, intercultural competence, and ability to work as a team player
