About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and maintain the core SDK framework and associated apps for external B2B demos and internal engineering tools
- Develop and optimize low-latency image preprocessing pipelines, including image enhancement, auto-cropping, and ROI extraction
- Integrate and optimize third-party OCR and barcode decoder libraries into the core SDK
- Work with firmware engineers to define device-level communication protocols and debug USB, serial, and PC/SC hardware interface issues
- Port and expand SDKs, demo apps, and recognition libraries to Linux, embedded systems, tablets, and edge devices
- Define communication architectures with future network scalability, including RESTful APIs and WebSockets
- Write English technical documentation and API references for global B2B clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Image Processing, or a related technical discipline
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on C++ and C#/.NET
- Experience with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV for raw sensor data, camera calibration, or frame-level manipulation
- Proven ability to write clean English technical documentation and communicate effectively with global technical teams
- Self-starter demonstrating high autonomy and clear ownership of assigned tasks
- Preferred: experience integrating and optimizing OCR technologies or 1D/2D barcode decoding libraries, including PDF417 and QR codes
- Preferred: Linux systems programming, Android/tablet integration, or SDK and demo app development for resource-constrained embedded industrial devices
- Preferred: cross-platform tools such as CMake, Qt, or multi-OS packaging tools
- Preferred: software-hardware interfacing via USB, serial, or PC/SC protocols and collaboration with firmware engineers
